This guide will show you how to set up your new glove and remote. In only a few minutes, you will be fully
ready to hit the slopes and control your phone like never before.
Installing the Battery
Follow these steps to install the battery into your GoGlove remote
- Remove two screws from the back of the GoGlove remote and remove the bottom of the case
- Slide the battery into the slot from the top of the remote, ensuring the + side of the battery is facing up
- Place the bottom of the case back onto the top and tighten the two screws
- The LED should now shine brightly through the keypad on the front of your remote
Installing the Remote into GoGlove
Follow these steps to install remote into the pocket on your GoGlove.
- Unzipper the pocket on the back of the right hand
- You will see a connector coming from the grommet. Pull the connector so there is about 1 inch of wire sticking out
- With the GoGlove remote facing down, insert the connector into the remote
- Feed the wire back through the grommet and push the remote up and slip it into the pocket
- Position the remote so it is almost entirely upside down in the pocket, with the top of the remote pushing onto the bottom of the glove. Do not rotate the remote sideways in the pocket, it should be mostly straight up wth a slight lean to one side
- Zipper the pocket closed
Pairing GoGlove to your Smartphone
Follow these steps to pair GoGlove to your phone for the first time.
iOS
- Open your phones Bluetooth Settings menu by clicking on Settings, then Bluetooth
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned On
- Click the center button on the GoGlove remote to turn GoGlove on, the LED will remain on
- In your devices list, GoGlove will appear. Click on it.
- A pop-up will appear asking if you want to pair with GoGlove. Click 'Pair'
- After a few seconds, GoGlove will appear as "Connected" in your settings menu
- GoGlove is now ready to use!
Android
- Open your phones Bluetooth Settings menu by clicking on Settings, then Bluetooth
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned On
- Click the center button on the GoGlove remote to turn GoGlove on, the LED will remain on
- In your devices list, GoGlove will appear. Click on it.
- After a few seconds, GoGlove will appear as "Connected" in your settings menu
- When paired, the LED in GoGlove will blink approximately every 6 seconds to let you know it is on
- GoGlove is now ready to use!
Once paired, GoGlove will reconnect automatically to your phone when it is in range.
Using GoGlove
Once paired, GoGlove can control your smartphone easily through either the remote or glove. Basic
music control is provided by default, or more functionality can be configured/customized through the app
Tap the magnet in the thumb to any of the sensors to trigger the actions shown in the image.
*GoGlove includes an activation switch to prevent accidentally triggering an action.
The glove must be activated by tapping the activation sensor first. Once this is done, actions
can be input for 10 seconds. Any action resets the 10 second timeout. Once 10 seconds has expired,
the glove must be activated again to input more actions.
The remote, when removed from the glove, acts as a standalone device for control.
*To take a picture, the camera app on your phone must be open before you press the Volume Up key
Turning GoGlove On/Off
GoGlove is designed to run for up to 6 months on a single battery. Therefore, it is now always important
to remember to turn GoGlove off, it can stay on for a very long time!
However, if you wish to shut it down, follow these steps:
- If GoGlove is paired to your phone, turn off Bluetooth in your phone
- The LED in GoGlove will stay on
- Press the center button of the GoGlove remote to turn GoGlove off. The LED will turn off
To turn GoGlove back on, simply press the center button. If you have previously paired with your phone,
and it is in range, it will automatically reconnect.
Resetting GoGlove
GoGlove can pair with one phone at a time. Each time it pairs with a phone, it saves data for easy
connections when the phone comes back in range. If you are having trouble pairing, follow these steps
- If GoGlove is paired to your phone, turn off Bluetooth in your phone
- If GoGlove was paired to your phone, Unpair, Forget, or Erase the GoGlove entry based on your phone
- The LED in GoGlove will stay on
- Press the center button of the GoGlove remote to turn GoGlove off. The LED will now be off
- Press and hold GoGlove remote button 3
- While still holding remote button 3, press and hold the center button
- The LED in the GoGlove remote will turn on
- Continue to hold both button 3 and the cetner button of the remote for 3 seconds. Then release.
- You can now re-pair GoGlove to your phone
